She has a Masters of Arts Degree in visual arts and is a SPECTRA
teacher in various public schools throughout Santa Cruz County.
Claudia is the full time art teacher for the Spring Hill Advanced
Elementary School and Carden El Encanto, both in Santa Cruz.
Her work with children includes a mixed media of drawing,
painting, and clay sculpture.
Small studio art classes are offered year round for children ages
four and up. The finest art materials and low student/teacher ratio
ensures a rewarding art experience. Classes are designed for
students at all levels who are intersted in exploring their personal
and academic interests using mixed media: drawing, painting,
clay scupture as well as printmaking.
In addition to teaching art, Claudia illustrates for Sunset
magazine, Bantam Books, Harcourt and Brace Co., Rodale
Press and other publishers. Her work has appeared in book
cover art, textbook illustrations as well as magazine
editorials.
